Bring It Back!–Lakers Double Up Defeating Celtics 83-79

A fierce, hard-fought war for the World Championship ends in heroic fashion, as the Los Angeles Lakers battled through a late 13-point defecit to declare victory and earn back-to-back NBA titles–repeating the success of LA’s 00-01/01-02 seasons. The Celtics entered Game 7  with intensity and challenged the defending champs to the wire. But a 20 point performance from Ron Artest, his deep 3 with less than a minute in the fourth that placed a dagger in the heart of Pierce and the Celtics, and the suffocating defense of Kobe and the Lakers with time winding down, secured the team’s second straight finals victory.

Now, with a certified handful of championships, a 3-year contract extension, and an unwavering focus to match AND surpass Michael Jordan’s 6 titles, Kobe Bryant sits as the greatest Laker of all-time (Wow–even announced by Hall of Fame Laker legend Magic Johnson)-with sights set on making nothing but history yet again.

The archival rivalry that just added a new chapter to its epic legacy, proved to be a pure source of motivation for both Bryant and Laker’s owner Jerry Bust– stating the matchup lit a stronger competitive flame under the franchise that forced the team to fight for their respect, and uphold their position as THE elite franchise in the history of professional basketball.

The win places the Lakers only one title behind Boston for the most rings in NBA history– Phil Jackson earns his 11th NBA Championship, moving him one away from being the first ever to do the unthinkable–6 titles with 2 teams, with disputably the two best players to ever play the game.

Last second 3’s from Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen pushed Boston closer to equally the score , but proved too little, too late. Kobe clinched the game ball as time expired, and the Lakers claimed the 2010 NBA Championship in grand fashion–Never Question the heart of a Champion(s).
